Effective date: [FILL: DATE]. Operator: [FILL: LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("Family Loop", "we").
1. What we collect
Account details: name, email, password (kept only as a salted hash), and sign-in method. Family content: calendar events, custody schedules, handoffs, messages, expenses, tasks, notes, and files (including receipt photos) you and your invited family members create. Location: a single one-time location stamp recorded only when a parent taps "Arrived at exchange"; accuracy is recorded with it. We never collect background or continuous location. Device and session data: device name, app version, sign-in sessions, and push notification settings. Technical logs needed to run the service.
2. What we never do
We show no advertising. We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
3. Children
Children under 13 do not have accounts; they appear only as names entered by a parent. Teen logins are available only for ages 13 and up, confirmed by a parent-confirmed birth-year check. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 except as a name on a parent's account.
4. Who can see your family's information
Members of your family, according to the access rules a parent sets; professionals (attorney, mediator) you explicitly grant view-only access, until it expires or is revoked; our service providers that host the service; and, where legally required (valid subpoena, court order), the records process described in our Terms.
5. Records and deletion
Family Loop's records are designed to be accurate and tamper-evident. Entries are timestamped by our servers and sealed. When you delete your account in the app, your login and private data are removed. Shared records that involve the other parent may be preserved in de-identified form, and records under a legal hold are preserved as the law requires. We say honestly in-app what is kept.
6. Retention
We keep account and family content while your account is active. Audit and record-integrity data is retained to keep exported packages verifiable. Backups are cycled on a routine schedule.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Sign-in tokens are stored in your device's secure storage, and local data uses your phone's file protection. Face ID lock is optional per person. You can see and sign out your signed-in devices in the app.
8. Your choices and rights
Access, correct, or delete your information from within the app (Profile) or by emailing support@familyloopco.com. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete, and correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
9. International
Family Loop is operated in and hosted in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information is processed in the US.
10. Changes
We'll update this policy as the service changes and show the new effective date here.
